Dear Ostad you are right as always! Indeed the chin goes naturally close to the chest this way, I didn't noticed!
Let me think about the kias.

Atado or Tedo
Haida
Hood
Jummay

Okimma
Hood
He ( more or less)
Hid
Haima

Suto Kung Fu Ka

So, I think, Atado will be one.
Well..I think I will wait to let me know. But I know I will go on recalling them in the head!

Thank you! To'A

Excuse me Ostad Jalilzadeh, I realized that I wrote the kias as they sound but not with their correct written name. I am sorry.
They are Atado,Haida, Hais, Huud, Jummaiy, Okima, Eih, Hid, Heiyma, Suto Kung Fu Ka, Yaromeh.

Better if I try to learn also their written form and not only the way they sound.

Thank you!

Dear Ostad Jalilzadeh, there is an old question that come back to my mind today in the gym.
When we do afma technique, the action hand stays 5-10 cm from the forhead. This means that my arm is closed to the head, not that much far. If I was blocking a hand technique, or defending from someone that was trying to hit me with a club, wouldn't I be hit? I ask myself if I would be able to block my hand from hitting by myself. 5 cm is a very little distance. Would I be able to protect myself?

Re: باسخ‌به: Question 12 years ago #4525

Dear Patrizia,
The reason I say 5 to 10 centimeters because we can not keep our arms away from our body.
If you keep the Afma too wide, you would have lots of open and unprotected spots on your body.
By the way, the technique is a defense for a punch. If someone attacks you with something else, you should use other techniques for that kind of attack. I tell you one of them, runaway...

Dear Ostad Jalilzadeh, thank you!!! I didn't thought about the fact that I would have unprotected spots! This is perfectly logic now that you make me think of it! And also for the second part of your answer, well...I think your words are really wise. Truth! You are perfectly right as always.

To'A!
