TOPIC: Question

Re: باسخ‌به: Question 12 years, 1 month ago #4363

No no, you aren't going to turn your hand. On that case you just bring the backup hand up to hit the incoming punch from down. I mean you are going to hit under the incoming punch.
Remind me to show you on weekend from oovoo.

Dear Ostad Jalilzadeh, I have a question...
I am a little bit ashamed to do it because this doubt is absurd, and I hope you won't be offended by it! But I need to understand!

Anattawa.....
I realized that all the matos are done parallel to the ground, and only yeteh mato is higher.
Is it for didactic reasons or not?
I am asking because if it is not like this, it means that all the matos in Wais-Kineh axis and Waisa axis are directed to the chest! correct?
I have always thought that the target was the face, or the mouth. But if my opponent is high as I am, or even higher, my target would be the chest or the throat, not the face!

I am sorry, I have always been so concentrated on the reactions that I was doing wrong, and the action hand that I completely took my mind out from the central point, that is understanding what I am doing!!! I apologize for this...Forgive my superficiality...I am really ashamed!!

Dear Patrizia, don't be a shamed. I wouldn't get upset from any reasonable questions.
When we do a Mumaiy, we are not fighting. We are practising. When we practice in Kung Fu To'a. First, the practice is for our body to learn how to move properly (offence and defence) while observing the laws of physics (using less energy and keeping good balance). At the same time memorising those in our mind also.
Second, I never said that the Matos must hit only to the chest. Even in Anattawa on the Waisa axis when we are hitting four Matos after Oranto-out defence, two of them hits the face. But when it hits the face we have to turn the body to do it properly.

When we are doing Mumaiy it is different from practising for a fight.

Dear Ostad Jalilzadeh, as you know I have some difficoults in Waima Duma in the last part of Atado.

-By the way, has this axis a name?

I looked carefully the lesson, let's take as referee Waima Duma left. I see that you start Waima Duma, you end it when the left foot is still in air, you don't have put it down yet, and you hit Mato right in the same time you put the foot on the ground, correct?

So, the correct way of do it should be that I start the techique from unmodified rato, when I am turned but I am still with the left foot up I hit Weima Duma defending from the incoming kick, and then in the same time I hit Mato and put the left foot down in Rato position. Correct?

We can say that is like having 2 hands technique in one step, it is pretty fast. This should be the reason why if i try to do it at normal speed I miss it!

-There is another question that I wish to ask about the classic kicks.

In all the kicks the leg that stays on the ground turns a little bit, so that when we hit Keyeto or Sima or another leg technique the foot is slightly angled. Not 45 degree but neither 0!
I see that the foot is straight at 0 degree only in Horayad Keyeto. Does in this case the foot is so straight at 0 degree because the kick hit from the side, and this way we can control better our body position?
